SIPRI TO CO-HOST 2024 ARMAMENT AND DISARMAMENT SUMMER SCHOOL
SIPRI and the Alva Myrdal Centre for Nuclear Disarmament [1] at Uppsala University are pleased to host the 2024 Armament and Disarmament Summer School on 26-30 August 2024. The 2024 summer school will be held in cooperation with the Odesa Center for Nonproliferation [2].
The summer school is an annual fixture within disarmament education. Structured as both a course and a networking opportunity, the summer school is focused at young and emerging professionals in the fields of disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control. The programme aims to develop participants' knowledge and skills, empowering emerging specialists to further expand their expertise in these critical issues.
The course will feature a variety of opportunities and activities. These include lectures and discussions on armament and disarmament by leading experts in the field; skill-building workshops and training sessions; and visits to institutions working with these issues.
